Solar Panels on Trees

“This collaboration with Siemens Energy to create resources for schools on renewable energy is another step in our efforts to ensure that students receive the education and training they need to become active leaders and be better prepared with the green skills that they need for their futures.”

PROVIDING CURRICULUM AND TRAINING FOR SCHOOLS GLOBALLY ON THE ENERGY TRANSITION

What is SDG 7?

In the pursuit of environmentally friendly energy solutions, the world is shifting from carbon and coal based power to the use of renewable energy sources. Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) calls for “affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all” by 2030. According to the UN, 660 million people will still lack access to electricity and close to 2 billion people will still rely on polluting fuels and technologies for cooking by 2030. This project aims to engage students in understanding the critical aspects of sustainable energy and its role in sustainable development.

What is Schools for Goal 7?

"Schools for Goal 7" is a project by Global Schools in partnership with Siemens Energy, aimed at training teachers and students on energy and sustainable development through gamified curricula. The initiative will provide training to 100 teachers and 3,000 students, promoting active learning to accelerate local sustainable development efforts. The project offers practical, hands-on experience in topics such as the energy transition, renewable energy, climate change, and sustainability, equipping the next generation with the skills needed to build more resilient societies.
