The Global Schools Program is excited to collaborate with Knowledge Works and Penn State, a member of SDSN USA, for the inaugural Penn State K-12 Sustainability Summit. This Summit is hosted by the Penn State Outreach K-12 Engagement Network and Penn State Sustainability.
About the Summit
This two-day summit is a unique opportunity for K-12 education leaders and the Penn State community to come together and forge new pathways toward a sustainable future. Through engaging design-thinking workshops, educators will explore the specific sustainability needs of their school communities and discover how partnerships with Penn State can help support and amplify their efforts.
The Global Schools Program will specifically support school participants in engaging in future vision planning for integrating sustainability into their school systems using Penn State and Global Schools Program resources. The outcome will be to create a community of practice of Pennsylvania schools in the upcoming academic year that are committed to integrating and enhancing sustainability education in their districts.
If you're a passionate education leader in Pennsylvania, committed to integrating sustainability into your school or classroom, we would love for you to be a part of this exciting journey! We're inviting two representatives from each school system (for a maximum of 20) to join us at Penn State University on October 16th-17th, 2024.
